Foliar-Pak Internship: That’s a Wrap!

Last Friday marked the final day of my Foliar-Pak internship with EnP, and wow did it fly. Since my “Foliar-Pak Internship: The Halfway Point” blog post, I have continued my work with product trials, collected data from trials performed by golf course superintendents, and collaborated with the Xylem Marketing team on tasks for the new Foliar-Pak website, 2018 product catalog, social media, and email marketing.

Below is a shot from my most recent trial.

This photo is from the morning following the application.

I created a stencil from a sheet of quarter inch plywood and applied three Foliar-Pak products at the following rates:

Foliar-Pak 14-2-4 at 10 oz per 1000 sq. ft.

Foliar-Pak Promote at 3 oz per 1000 sq. ft.

Foliar-Pak Foundation Forty at 1 oz per 1000 sq. ft.

Immediately after application, the logo was visible, but instead of dark green it was brown in coloration due to the dark color of the spray applied. Later that day the brown faded and in came the green. The photo below is seven days after application, and as you can see, it’s still full of color.

The top two flowers received two apps of the Ultimate Ornamental Package while the bottom two did not.

In the past weeks, I have also performed and observed other trials on new renditions of existing Foliar-Pak products and even a couple of trials with completely new products. I can’t give away too much at this stage, but I can tell you that our tests produced the desired results, so keep an eye out for new additions to the Foliar-Pak family.

That’s all for me for now. Thanks again to all the great people in this industry who have participated in helping us grow the Foliar-Pak brand and improve the product line!

Make sure to get your hands on the 2018 Foliar-Pak catalog and keep an eye out for the new website coming this fall!
